Christmas Event and Light Switch-On

Each November the Christmas event takes place from 4:00pm in Lymington High Street with a selection of stalls offering a wide selection of hot and cold food, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, cakes, mince pies, candy floss, sweets and donuts, children’s amusements and the opportunity to take a ride on a inflatable toboggan which is FREE to have a go on (with donations welcomed).

The Lymington Choral Society, commence carol singing around the Christmas tree from 5.40pm outside St. Thomas’ Church.  The Blessing of the Crib takes place at 6:00pm, with the lights throughout the High Street and the Church tree switched on at 6.15pm by the Town Mayor.

Father Christmas arrives on his sleigh by 6:30pm, accompanied by his friends from the Lymington Rotary Club.  Santa hands out sweets from his sleigh to all the little boys and girls.

All NFDC car parks in Lymington are free for the whole day to allow you to take advantage of Black Friday’s shopping deals as local traders and shop owners throughout Lymington also joining in the fun with late night shopping.
