Processing consists of the disclosure of personal data to councillors and officers involved in the grants process. Disclosure of information is only made if necessary for the purpose of processing an application. Information relating to applications may be retained for 5 years and a record will be maintained in the Council financial records of those organisations who receive a grant and the persons who sign the acceptance of grant conditions. Complaints: If you consider that your personal data has been misused or mishandled, you may make a complaint to the Information Commissioner, who is an independent regulator. Any complaint to the Information Commissioner is without prejudice to your right to seek redress through the courts.
