Neighbourhood Plan designated by New Forest District Council and New Forest National Park Authority in 2015
Neighbourhood Plan vision and action plan created in March 2017
Working Group meetings took place 2017-2019
Workshops with strategic land promoters and a Town Centre Small Site Capacity Study 2017
Informal Community Consultation on policy themes June/July 2017 with a survey receiving 586 responses (this consultation included the strategic allocations.)
New Forest District Council retained control of the strategic allocations (now SS5 and SS6) in Local Plan part one, with Neighbourhood Plans in the New Forest plan area dealing with small site allocations.
New Forest District Council Local Plan preparation and examination which included the release of Green belt Land for housing, SS5/SS6. Plan adopted in 2020.
Evidence base created and updated 2017 - 2023
Draft policies created 2021 - 2023
Informal Community Consultation on proposed Policies, land allocations/designations, new infrastructure requirements and non planning matters. Autumn 2023.
Draft Plan created, including amendments to Policies as reflected from the 2023 community consultation. March 2024.
