Pennington Common and Playground now open

🌳 Pennington Common & Playground Now Open! 🎉

We're delighted to let you know that Pennington Common and the playground are now fully open and ready to be enjoyed again by everyone!

Following the eviction of the illegal encampment, our amazing Parks Team got straight to work. Due to the type and sheer volume of waste - which filled in excess of 7 x 3.5T lorries, 4 x 7.5T lorries, and 3 vans - the clean-up took a little longer than we’d hoped. But public safety was our top priority every step of the way.

✅ The site has been cleared
✅ The playground has been fully inspected
✅ The Common is now open for all to enjoy again!
